The Ohuhu Wood Burning Camp Stove - Get It Right!

Updated: Mar 13, 2022

When it comes to having a fire in the woods (as opposed to above the tree line on a mountain) I've always been an 'open fire' kinda guy, I guess I'm an old romantic at heart and the allure of that fire crackling away, the sparks floating into the air, the heat on my face is too much to resist....😍

In reality, having an open fire is often not the best option due to weather conditions, a lack of decent sized dead standing wood for fuel, time constraints, lack of permission etc.

This is where 'twig stoves' can come into their own as they require a much smaller amount of fuel, are quick to set up and use, are very discrete during use and leave almost no residual sign meaning it's much quicker and easier to Leave No Trace.

One such stove that is growing in popularity is the 'gasifier' stove, which provides an incredibly efficient burn, however they are often loaded incorrectly so in this video I go into some depth about how to load them correctly before cooking up a tasty treat using one.
